Bookmakers Paddy Power Sports have made EasyJets Chief Commercial Officer Dana Dunne their 11/8 favourite to succeed Andy Harrison as the airlines CEO.
Formerly a heavyweight at AOL, Harrison will bring to three the number of major boardroom departures in just under a year at the carrier. Greek founder Stelios Haji-loannou is thought to have played a big part in the friction within the company.
Possible successors have not yet been bandied about by industry insiders but Paddy Power Sports make internal candidate Warwick Brady another likely contender for the role at 7/4, followed by Operations Director Cor Vrieswijk at 4/1 and Cath Lynn at 9/2.
BA boss Willie Walsh and Ryanair maverick Michael OLeary are amongst the outsiders to take the reins at EasyJet with Paddy Power Sports quoting 33/1 and 40/1.
Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power Sports said
EasyJet have had their fair share of ups and downs but as airlines go theyre still flying high having been one of few airlines to make a profit last year. The most likely successor looks to be Dana Dunne but Harrison will not be stepping down until next June leaving the board with plenty of time to mull over the candidates.
