Bookies Paddy Power Sports have made footballing legend George Best their 5/2 favourite to be crowned the Greatest Irish Sports Person Ever!
The Greatest Irish Sportsperson Ever! is a 1 hour television special that will be broadcast on RTE One this Christmas and will count down the TOP 10 Irish Sportspeople, as voted by the Irish public.
The Belfast man is just one of 32 sporting personalities that have made the list. Other sporting heroes in the running include Padraig Harrington at 5/1, Roy Keane at 7/1, Brian ODriscoll at 10/1 and Henry Shefflin at 50/1.

There was much debate in the office when we were compiling our list of odds. Everyone has their own favourite sporting hero but almost everyone was in agreement that George is the clear-cut favourite to be named the Best!
